We are thrilled that you are interested in facilitating a Co-op class “Under the Umbrella” at WCHS.  Please be aware of the following policies:

  • Classes must be approved by the WCHS Co-op Directors.  Please allow 2 weeks for approval once your application has been submitted.  Please include any pertinent information so that the Co-op Directors can make an informed decision.
  • All Co-op teachers must complete the Program Leader Orientation via Google Classroom.
  • Co-op classes must have 2 deep leadership. You can select your own WCHS parent assistant or one will be assigned to you.  This policy applies to all Co-op venues including in-person Co-op and WCHS Virtual Academy.
  • Classes must follow the WCHS By-Laws and support the mission of WCHS.
  • Any class fees must have a clear purpose and full disclosure to members.
  • Any unused class supplies purchased with class fees become the property of WCHS.  Additionally, any unused class fees will become part of the WCHS General Fund.
  • Classes shall remain under the umbrella for the duration of the class.  At the completion of the class, the class teacher is under no obligation to remain a teacher or reteach the class.
  • WCHS retains the right to create and facilitate similar classes based upon classes that have been taught under the umbrella.

Benefits of Leading “Under the Umbrella”:

  • You and your class will be covered by WCHS Release of Liability Forms.
  • Promotion of your class through WCHS Facebook and WCHS Website.
  • Access to the WCHS Calendar and email options.
  • WCHS Co-op Directors and WCHS Council will be available to support you through your class and help with any issues that may arise.
  • WCHS will provide Google Classroom training to any teacher who wants to use Google Classroom.
  • The opportunity to share your passion or skill with the group!

If you agree to the above, please fill out and submit the WCHS Class Submission Form or contact one of our Co-op Directors, Stephanie P. or DeAna B.
